                    Basically, people enjoys the sunrise and sunset in nature.But why do we not interested at noons.This is my point.So, I had decided that all of you want to know about the afternoon beauty of the nature.Let's see now...

Nature's TRIOLOGY nature.....(MORNING)

                              Three3 faces of NATURE :

               Hi friends, everybody in this universe start their day with sunrise.So I am also starting the 3 faces of nature with a perfect sunrise and one more thing the pictures may be not good; sorry for that.

             Mornings are also called the fresh start of our day to day life.In childhood when we wake up we can choose joy, happiness, excitement,...But when we grow we have to choose more feelings positive and negative like negativity, pain, loneliness...etc.



               When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life.To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today We choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.

                          Opportunities are like sunrises.If you wait too long you will miss the chances.Never dream for success because it's better to wake up in the mornings and make it happen in our life.

                We should learn from nature how to make strong ourselves. Success is like a day and night. Sometimes we will sometimes we not. Don't get disappointed by the failure because the failures are the stepping stones for success we all know that right.

Subspecies of Lions 2



Masai lion:

                It is also known as East African Lion.The scientific name of Masai lion is Panthera Leo Nubica.

 It is found in East Africa, from Ethiopia and Kenya to Tanzania and Mozambique; a local population is known as the Tsavo lion.Eastern Africa: (Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda)


Congo Lion:

        It is also known as  Northeast Congo Lion and Uganda lion.The scientific name of Congo lion is Panthera Leo Azandica.

               Found in the northeastern parts of the Congo, adjacent to Uganda. It is currently extinct in Rwanda.Central or Eastern Africa: (Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda)


Southwest African Lion:



           It is also known as  Katanga Lion.The scientific name of Southwest African lion is Panthera Leo Bleyenberghi.

            Found in southwestern Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is among the largest subspecies of African lions.

Southern Africa: (Angola, Botswana, Katanga (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe)


Transvaal Lion:

    It is also known as  Southeast African Lion.The scientific name of Transvaal lion is Panthera Leo Krugeri.

Found in the Transvaal region of southeastern Africa, including Kruger National Park.
Southern Africa: (Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe)

Asiatic Lion:

 It is also known as Indian lion or Persian lion.The scientific name of Asiatic lion is Panthera Leo Persica. It is found in Gir Forest National Park of northwestern India. Once was widespread from Turkey, across Southwest Asia, to India and Pakistan, now 523 exist in and near the Gir Forest in the Saurashtran region of Gujarat. Genetic evidence suggests its ancestors split from the ancestors of sub-Saharan African lions between 203 and 74 thousand years ago. Its closest relatives are North and West-Central African lions.

Southern Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia

West Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Baluchistan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mesopotamia, North Caucasus, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and YemenSouth Asia: Afghanistan, India and Pakistan

                             Barbary Lion:

It is also called the Atlas lion or North African lion.The scientific name of Barbary Lion is Panthera Leo Leo.
Formerly found in AlgeriaMoroccoTunisia, and Egypt, this is the nominate lion subspecies from North Africa. It is extinct in the wild due to excessive hunting; the last, known Barbary lion in the wilderness was killed in Morocco in 1920. This is reportedly one of the largest subspecies, with reported lengths of 3.0–3.3 m (9.8–10.8 ft) and weights of more than 200 kg (440 lb) for males. Besides the Senegal lion of Western and Central Africa, it is more closely related to the Asiatic lion than to other African lions. A number of animals in captivity are likely to be Barbary lions, particularly the 90 animals descended from the Moroccan Royal collection at Rabat Zoo.
North Africa: (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia)

                               West African Lion:
     It is also known as Senegal Lion.The scientific name of West African Lion is Panthera Leo Senegalensis. 

Found in Western and Central Africa, from Senegal to the Central African Republic. It is currently listed as critically endangeredin 2015. It is among the smallest of the Sub-Saharan African lions.Western Africa: (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Senegal)Central Africa: (Cameroon, Chad, Central African Republic, Nigeria, and Niger)


                                  Ethiopian lion:


                   It is also known as Abyssinian lion and Addis Ababa lion.The scientific name of Ethiopian Lion is Panthera Leo Roosevelti.

             A newly discerned lion subspecies could exist in captivity in Ethiopia's capital city of Addis Ababa. Researchers compared the microsatellite variations over ten loci of fifteen lions in captivity with those of six different wild lion populations. They determined that these lions are genetically unique and presumably that "their wild source population is similarly unique." These lions—with males that have a distinctly dark and luxuriant mane seem to define a new subspecies perhaps native only to Ethiopia. These lions were part of a collection of the late Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia.

                                            THE LION:

Scientific Name: Panthera leo.

Conservation Status: Vulnerable

Height: 4 feet (1.2m) (males).

Length: 5-8 feet (1.5-2.4m) (males).

Weight 330-500 lbs (150-227 kg) (males).

In general, female lions are smaller than males.

Lifespan: 10-14 years.

Top speed: 50 mph (81 km/hr), for short distances.

The lion (Panthera leo) is one of the big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger, barring hybrids like the liger.

Wild lions currently exist in sub-Saharan Africa and in India (where an endangeredremnant population resides in and around Gir Forest National Park). In ancient historic times, their range was in most of Africa, including North Africa, and across Eurasia from Greece and southeastern Europe to India. In the late Pleistocene, about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans: Panthera leo spelaea lived in northern and western Europe and Panthera leo atrox lived in the Americas from the Yukon to Peru.

 The lion is classified as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), having seen a major population decline in its African range of 30–50% over two decades during the second half of the twentieth century.Lion populations are untenable outside designated reserves and national parks. Although the cause of the decline is not fully understood, habitat loss and conflicts with humans are the greatest causes of concern. Within Africa, the West African lion population is particularly endangered.

 While lions do not typically hunt humans, some have. Sleeping mainly during the day, lions are active primarily at night (nocturnal), although sometimes at twilight (crepuscular).

Capturing Co2 from Nature-2

Co2 has been catched:

Now, nine years later, and the duo's first commercial CO2 extraction plant sits on top of a waste utilisation plant in view of Meier brothers' greenhouses 400 metres away."Since our first visit here we managed to upgrade the capacity from a few millilitres per day in the lab to an industrial scale of 900 tonnes per year," said Gebald.Eighteen Climeworks CO2 collectors are installed on top of the roof of the waste utilisation plant, which is run by Swiss municipal waste disposal company KEZO. The collectors capture 2460 kilograms of CO2 per day (depending on factors such as weather conditions and air composition)."The fans on the outside serve to suck in the ambient air," Gebald explained. Inside each collector unit, the air goes through a process of adsorption and desorption before being blown out again with reduced CO2 content."Our filters are saturated with CO2 within a few hours," Gebald continues.To ensure the process of desorption, the saturated filter is heated up to about 100 degrees Celsius."For this we use the waste heat from KEZO, making our process particularly resource friendly," Gebald said. The pure CO2 gas is then isolated and transferred to Gebrüder Meier's greenhouses via gas pipeline.

The Hinwil plant will operate as a three-year demonstration project in co-operation with the partners Gebrüder Meier and KEZO, and with a contribution towards non-amortisable costs by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE).

To date, carbon capture and storage systems that reduce CO2 emissions to the atmosphere have usually been applied within power plants at sources where CO2 is concentrated. The CO2 is transported to a storage site, and deposited where it will not enter the atmosphere.
Extracting CO2 from the air was known to be possible, but considered not very practical because of the lower levels of CO2 concentration.

They respect the nature so they are implementing these types of machines, I think this is the most useful and helpful gadget in our present world,Not only for humans it was also for the beautiful Nature.

Capture CO2 from Nature

Catching the CO2
 The direct air capture (DAC) plant is capable of removing 900 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) from ambient air annually.
This is then supplied as a raw material to customers in different markets, including to a nearby vegetable farm, where it is used as fertiliser. The CO2 can also be used to make carbonated drinks and carbon-neutral fuels.
By using the filtered C02, Climeworks' says its customers can reduce their overall emissions as well as lowering their dependence on fossil fuels. Its factory represents the first commercial carbon-capture operation.

Climeworks says its plant is "a historic step for negative emissions technology – earmarked by the Paris climate agreement as being vital in the quest to limit a global temperature rise of two degrees Celsius".
The company was founded by engineers Christoph Gebald and Jan Wurzbacher, who first came up with the idea for the DAC plant in 2008 after visiting the greenhouses of agricultural enterprise Gebrüder Meier Primanatura AG in Hinwil, Switzerland. They were both students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) at the time.
The farm was ordering tanks of CO2 that were delivered by a truck that had to cover large distances. The duo had the idea to filter CO2 directly from ambient air and sell it on to Gebrüder Meier as a raw material delivered via gas pipeline.
"We presented our concept and concluded a memorandum regarding the possibility of purchase, in case we managed to build the corresponding plant," Gebald recalled. The first business plan was then developed for a venture challenge course at the university.

Israel:





The Southwest Center for the Study of Hospital and Healthcare Systems in cooperation with Rotary International is sponsoring a rainwater harvesting model program across the country. The first rainwater catchment system was installed at an elementary school in Lod, Israel. The project is looking to expand to Haifa in its third phase. The Southwest Center has also partnered with the Water Resources Action Project (WRAP) of Washington D.C. WRAP currently has rainwater harvesting projects in the West Bank.

Rainwater harvesting systems are being installed in local schools for the purpose of educating schoolchildren about water conservation principles and bridging divides between people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds all while addressing the water scarcity issue that the Middle East faces.

New Zealand:







         

     Although New Zealand has plentiful rainfall in the West and South, for much of the country, rainwater harvesting is the normal practice for most rural housing and is encouraged by most councils.

Sri Lanka:


Rainwater harvesting has been a popular method of obtaining water for agriculture and for drinking purposes in rural homes. The legislation to promote rainwater harvesting was enacted through the Urban Development Authority (Amendment) Act, No. 36 of 2007 Lanka rainwater harvesting forum is leading the Sri Lanka's initiative.

South Africa:


The South African Water Research Commission has supported research into rainwater harvesting. Reports on this research are available on their 'Knowledge Hub'.Studies in arid, semi-arid and humid regions have confirmed that techniques such as mulching, pitting, ridging and modified run-on plots are effective for small-scale crop production.

United Kingdom:


In the United Kingdom, water butts are often found in domestic gardens and on allotments to collect rainwater, which is then used to water the garden. However, the British government's Code For Sustainable Homes encouraged fitting large underground tanks to new-build homes to collect rainwater for flushing toilets, watering and washing. Ideal designs had the potential to reduce demand on mains water supply by half. The code was revoked in 2015.

United States:

      Colorado:

  •  Until 2009, water rights laws almost completely restricted rainwater harvesting; a property owner who captured rainwater was deemed to be stealing it from those who have rights to take water from the watershed. Now, residential well owners that meet certain criteria may obtain a permit to install a rooftop precipitation collection system (SB 09-080).Up to 10 large scale pilot studies may also be permitted (HB 09-1129).The main factor in persuading the Colorado Legislature to change the law was a 2007 study that found that in an average year, 97% of the precipitation that fell in Douglas Country, in the southern suburbs of Denver, never reached a stream—it was used by plants or evaporated on the ground. In Colorado, one is not permitted to drill a water well unless one has at least 35 acres (14 ha) of land.

  • New Mexico: In New Mexico, rainwater catchment is mandatory for new dwellings in Santa Fe.
  • Texas offers a sales tax exemption on the purchase of rainwater harvesting equipment. Both Texas and Ohio allow the practice even for potable purposes.
  • Oklahoma passed the Water for 2060 Act in 2012, to promote pilot projects for rainwater and graywater use among other water saving techniques.

Non-traditional:


  • In 1992, American artist Michael Jones Mc Kean created an artwork in Omaha, Nebraska at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art that created a fully sustainable rainbow in the Omaha skyline. The project collected thousands of gallons of rainwater storing the water in six daisy-chained 12,000 gallons tanks.The massive logistical undertaking, during its 5-month span, was one of the largest urban rainwater harvesting sites in the American Mid-West.

          It is my logo friends, I used the symbol of world environment day released image as my logo
        Today is World Environment Day,I just clicked some pictures in my mobile.When I am clicking those pictures, I think that the nature knows today is World Environment Day.I am saying this because,  I just saw it today.

     I am in Vijayawada,at morning the temperature is nearly 42°.It is really very hot today .But after 4:30 pm the climate just changed like heaven.What an experience,I can't explain my feeling but I can show it by some pictures clicked by me










        I just share all pictures because I just loved it and I think all of you see them all.And what I believe  that every  picture of nature has motivation in it .So  I think all can see it and enjoy the Nature guys.


   I am still enjoying the Nature today, because it is still raining here and love a lot today's weather.I want to share more about it but I am busy in enjoying the Environment.

Countries for their Future

                       In the present scenario management and distribution of water has become centralized. People depend on government system, which has resulted in disruption of community participation in water management and collapse of traditional water harvesting system.

 

As  the water crisis continues to become severe, there is a dire need of reform in water management system and revival of traditional systems. Scientific and technological studies needs to be carried out to assess present status so as to suggest suitable mitigative measures for the revival to traditional system/wisdom. Revival process should necessarily be backed by people's initiative and active public participation.

Canada:

             A number of Canadians have started implementing rainwater harvesting systems for use in stormwater reduction, irrigation, laundry, and lavatory plumbing. Substantial reform to Canadian law since the mid-2000s has increased the use of this technology in agricultural, industrial, and residential use; but ambiguity remains amongst legislation in many provinces. Bylaws and local municipal codes often regulate rainwater harvesting.


 

 India:

  •  Pan India Potential:No authenticated potential of rainwater harvesting has been assessed in India. On absolute local basis it has been carried out at some places.

  • Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu was the first state to make Rainwater Harvesting compulsory for every building to avoid groundwater depletion. The scheme was launched in 2001 and has been implemented in all rural areas of Tamil Nadu. We can see posters all over Tamil Nadu including Rural areas to create awareness about harvesting Rainwater TN Govt site. It gave excellent results within five years, and slowly every state took it as a role model. Since its implementation, Chennai saw a 50 percent rise in water level in five years and the water quality significantly improved.

  • Karnataka: In Bangalore it is mandatory for adoption of rainwater harvesting for every owner or the occupier of a building having the sital area measuring 60 ft (18.3 m) X 40 ft (12.2 m) and above and for newly constructed building measuring 30 ft (9.1 m) X 40 ft (12.2 m) and above dimension. In this regard, BWSSB has initiated and constructed “Rain Water Harvesting Theme Park” in the name of Sir. M. Visvesvaraya in 1.2 acres (4,900 m2) land situated at Jayanagar, Bangalore. In this park, 26 different type of Rain Water Harvesting models are demonstrated along with the water conservation tips. The Auditorium on the first floor is set up with Green Air conditioning system and the same will be utilized to arrange the meeting and showing the video clip about the rainwater harvesting to students as well as general public.







  • Rajasthan: In Rajasthan, rainwater harvesting has traditionally been practised by the people of the Thar Desert. There are many ancient water harvesting systems in Rajasthan, which have now been revived.Water harvesting systems are widely used in other areas of Rajasthan as well, for example the chauka system from the Jaipur district.

  • Kerala:

  • Maharashtra: At present, in Pune, rainwater harvesting is compulsory for any new housing society to be registered.




  • In Mumbai city in Maharashtra rainwater harvesting is being considered as a good solution to solve the water crisis.


     

 

 

 

The Mumbai city council is planning to make rainwater harvesting mandatory for large societies. An attempt has been made at the Department of Chemical Engineering, IISc, Bangalore to harvest rainwater using upper surface of a solar still, which was used for water distillation.
